  Rhett, why are you surprise? That's a typical JW attitude! They know it all! Anyways, I enjoyed your comments. Personally, the scandel will come down harder on the witnesses. It's going to make their witness work much tougher. The org. will have to come-up with some excuse, such as, correcting a fault/weakness among certain members instead of them taking the heat. The heat has to be taken away from the org. They have been practicing different PR tactics in response to the up and coming scandel news.

  Whats the truth about 1914?

  i've heard on a few occasions from my research on the internet that 1914 really does not have the significance that wtbs assigns to it.

  from my limited understanding on the matter it involves the wtbs moving the date of the destruction of jerusalem.. can someone give me a little more detail on this or provide a link with a website that does?.

  if its true that the wts has manipulated historical dates and bible scriptures to support this date of 1914 then that would mean everything else crumbles.. thanks for any info on this

  1914 was a cover-up for what the elite rich pulled over the eyes of the Euro-American citizens and that is the fraudulent 16th amendment that was illegally passed in 1913. A man by the name of M.J."Red" Beckman did extensive research on this issue and wrote a few books. One of the books is titled, 'The IRS and The Black Robed Cover-up.'

  you want to the reader widh taking forward only negative things,you can do this widh evrything, take only negative things never say anything good,but as human beeing we now that ther is a frontside and a backside, and this who only take one side and show this side as a fackt is a lier.. i have been jw fore many years,and i now that we have some things who not is so good,likte this dfd thing, this system´in cong who very easly hurt peopel, even if it is not the purpus.. then we have some good things, 6 millons who are brothers and sisters from all over the word, nationalism no politics, make us unik,.

  Happy man, allow me to respond to your post. Let me first say, I'm happy for you being happy. I believe that people should engage in activities that make them happy. Why not? No one owns or controls happiness, it's free just as the air we breath in. Sometimes I doubt that because greedy men finds a way to tax us in everything else.

  My first question to you is, why are you on this forum? My next ? is, are you not violating your conscience for being on this forum? Let's begin with those 2 ?'s, OK?

  i was a jw for years, and i constantly run into old "friends" at the store, gym, doctor's, cinema, etc.

  up to now, i have just looked the other way because i knew they couldn't talk to me.. but after reading some posts here - i realized that i was contributing to their shunning.

  acting like i was still under their law - well no more!!.

  well, for the first time in 30 years i didn't go to the memorial.. it's actually a given me a great sense of relief!.

  i hope that this is beginning of a long and happy relationship with god!

  up until this past year i wasn't even sure if he existed.

  artful, I got dressed to go but I left late. By the time I got there it was late and the parking lot was full since other congregations were also sharing the hall.

  Personally, I just watched the friends going in and out of their cars and carrying their briefcases. I noticed a number of volunteers directing the traffic, hmmm, while they conveniently missed out on the memorial service. So, I too did not attend.

  there has been a lot of talk about jw suicides here after the oregon thing.

  well here is a real story from last year about a family member of mine.. my aunt was a missionary for as long as i can remember.

  she and my uncle left to serve abroad when i was young.

  Sorry and sad to hear about such stories. This should be a serious concern within the org. but it isn't. Their view is, just attend the meetings and Jehovah will take care of everything, yeah right. Many friends have served years for the org. and what did they get? Maybe, just maybe, a story about them in the WT. Disagree with the org. and see how quickly your escorted out the door. And they say, Satan' org. is cold and heartless? It may be the case, but at least they have some kind of pension plan or insurance when your dismissed.
